| 本課程培養學生下列知識： |
|
統計是一門分析資料的工具學科，本課程以推論統計為主要內容，包括針對母數及無母數進行各類假設考驗與估計。強調針對不同性質的資料與研究設計，選擇適當的統計方法，並根據結果對母群體的特性作合理的推論，以培養解決社會問題時應具備的科學態度與邏輯思考能力，奠定研究社會科學的基礎。1.瞭解抽樣分配、假設類別、顯著水準、錯誤類型、自由度、信賴區間等推論統計的基本原理與重要概念2.依據假設考驗的步驟，完成z考驗、t考驗、卡方考驗、F考驗等統計推論的程序3.基於各類考驗，做出不同信賴水準的區間估計4.瞭解多元相關與多元迴歸的原理，進行分析過程Statistics is a subject about data analysis. The main content of this course is inferential statistics area, including different kinds of hypothesis testing and estimation for parameters and nonparameters. The course focuses on selecting appropriate statistical methods depending on the nature of data and research design, as well as making reasonable inference about the character of population according to the result. The objectives of this course are:
1. Understanding basic principles and important concepts of inferential statistics, such as sampling distribution, types of hypothesis, level of significance, types of error, degree of freedom, and confidence interval.
2. Completing the procedure of statistical inference such as z test, t test, chi-square test, F test, according the steps of hypothesis test.
3. Making interval estimations for different levels of confidence based on different tests.
4. Understanding the principles of multiple correlation and regression, and conducting the process of analysis.
