本課程目標在於提升學生對於Newsweek與Time 等國際級相關讀物的閱讀與翻譯能力與技巧，進而強化對於CNN、BBC, 與VOA等國際新聞廣播的聽力與同步翻譯能力。1.加強學生的相關新聞英文之翻譯能力2.加強學生對相關新聞英文之理解能力3.加強學生對相關新聞英文之基本寫作能力4.加強學生對相關新聞英文歸納討論之基本能力5.培養學生世界觀6.具有終身學習英語的態度This course is intended to upgrade students’ capability of understanding such magazines as Newsweek and Time and of enriching their vocabulary and translation techniques. In the long term, they will be equipped with an ability to listen to CNN, BBC, or VOA and to perform simultaneous interpretation.is to facilitate students to understand etymology (prefix, suffix, and root), grammatology, and syntax.
