本課程培養學生下列知識：

憲政是民主制度的基礎和保障，同時也是對民主政治的制衡，其根本的作用在於防止政府權力濫用，以維護公民普遍的人權與規定公民應遵守之義務。本課程提供學生們認識到憲政主義與民主政治的理論架與實務驗，充實學生們在憲政主義下的基本人權與主權在民概念，進而提學生們的民主與法治的素養。 1.生動活潑協助學生瞭解憲政基本理論 2.配合時勢協助學生瞭解各種公職選舉，當國家主人 3.鼓勵學生與老師互動，訓練學生溝通與表達能力 4.善譬喻協助學生瞭解政府與人民的互動關係，可幫助將來理性監督政府 5.培養基本知識與能力，協助將來從事任何公共事務。若要參加國家考試也用得著 6.除了專業知識外，亦重視品德教育 Constitutional government is the foundation and protection of democratic system, but is also the checks and balances for democracy. Its fundamental role is to prevent the abuse of government power in order to protect the lives of people, freedom, property rights and stipulate the obligation that people should comply with. This class provides students with the understanding of theory and practice for constitutionalism and democratic politics to enrich the concept of basic human right and sovereignty in people under constitutional government principle for further prompting students’ quality of democracy and the rule of law
