本課程培養學生下列知識：

本課程討論資訊科技，尤其是網路科技，所帶來的社會議題。 從 STS (科技與社會) 的觀點， 檢視技術物的政治性。 特別針對網路技術所帶來的隱私、人權、 政治、 經濟等面向的衝擊，提出一些問題與討論。 1.了解資訊科技場域裡的人權爭奪戰 2.了解資訊科技如何改變經濟結構 3.了解資訊科技如何衝擊政治 4.了解資訊科技如何衝擊個人隱私 5.建構對於資訊科技之批判思考的觀點 6.了解科技與社會 (STS) 互相形塑的關係 In this course we discuss social issues brought about by ICT -- especially the Internet. The politics of artifacts are examined from an STS (Science, Technology, and Society) point of view. Topics under discussion include privacy, human rights, politics, and economics in the age of Internet.
