| 本課程培養學生下列知識： |

本課程將使學生對語言與文化間之關係有更深層的認知。學生將習得語言如何在思想行動上影響文化及次文化。課程將著重於語言、少數民族文化、階級文化、性別文化及本國文化。1.提升學生對異文化(尤指美國文化)的了解2.加強學生跨國文化之溝通能力3.加強學生對英語國家社會與文化背景的了解4.加強學生對跨文化衝突與調適的了解This courses promises to acquaint students with the close link between language and culture. Students will learn how language shapes their own cultural and sub-cultural patterns of thought and action. Attention will be given to language and ethnic culture, class culture, gender culture and national culture.
