本課程培養學生下列知識：

培養同學對於科技知識領域，如何以不同的角度來觀察、質疑及驗證各項科技問題。本課程以科技與社會跨學科的觀點，探討科技知識在產生的過程中所牽涉到的各種面向，如生物、機械、光電、奈米科技等等。目的在培養同學養成思辨分析能力並鼓勵學生提出自己的看法，主動關心及介入生活科技議題。 1.引導學生在生活經驗層次，建立直接的學習思考。 2.引導學生建立生活科技觀點與立場，瞭解科技與社會的緊密關連性。 3.引導學生思維社會、文化以及自然科技的密切關係，建立學生整體考量的視野。 To develop students to use different angle to observe, query, and test and verify all sorts of questions of technology in the field of technological knowledge. The course takes the cross-subject viewpoint of technology and society to explore all kinds of dimensions involving in the process of technological knowledge’s production, each as: biology, machinery, photo-electricity, and nano- technology, etc. The target is to cultivate students’ abilities of speculation and analysis, and encourage students to put forward and express their own opinions, as well as take the initiative to care about and intervene into the issue of life technology.
