本課程培養學生下列知識：

工程數學為學生修習進階專業科目時，於原理推導與理解之基本能力與工具之一。本課程之目的在於建立學生之基礎工程數學能力，其課程目標包含: 1.理解一階、二階微分方程式之運算 2.瞭解拉普拉斯轉換之應用 3.級數與傅立葉級數之運算與應用 The main purpose of this course is to establish the fundamental ability of students to use the corresponding mathematic skill to solve engineering problems. The main topics of this course are: (1) First/Second -order differential equations; (2) The Laplace Transforms; (3) Series solution and Fourier transforms.
