課程目標是培養學生的基本概念，在建築結構和施工管理，特別是審美判斷的基礎結構、課程管理和調查，以及介紹到建築管理的趨勢，幫助學生滿足工作要求，以培養專業人才的領域。 |
Objectives |
Course objectives are to develop students' basic concepts in architectural structures and construction management, and an aesthetic judgment specifically based on structure. Curriculums in management and investigation as well as the introduction to trends in architectural management help students in meeting job requirements. The goal is to train professional talents in the field. |

| 教學內容 |
透過回顧藝術或設計之發展史，重新對於材質應用或新技術之發展有更全面之認知，藉由材質之創作亦將使創作更加之接近於環境的現實與本質。亦藉由反覆之回顧與討論，重新理解—玻璃材料之反射與穿透﹑金屬材質的量化與質變﹑木材竹材之韌性與張力﹑液態材質的延展性與流動性﹑土石類材質的原始與不朽﹑塑膠材質的可塑性與複製﹑紙類或甚至於動植物生命體的循環性。
但就材質本身獨特的物理性並非唯一的關注焦點，而是在於材質背後所隱函的精神﹔也就是說，透過各式各樣材質的轉換而衍生出新的意義，甚至將人文意涵融入其中，甚至不必承載任何歷史包袱或人文意涵，純粹只是從物質本身的美學可能上進行創作，建立出一個獨立於外在社會價值觀的美學形式或思潮。 |
