| 課程目標 | 本課程介紹幼兒在生理、心理、認知、情緒、語言、個性、智力、以及人際關係等各層面的發展與相關理論；課程目的在建立同學對幼兒各方面的發展階段與情況之瞭解，並能提出相關的保育方法。 | Objectives | This course is designed to offer a brief look at children’s development and its related theories. The issues being discussed will include (1) the nature of child development, (2) biological process, physical and perceptual development, (3) cognition, learning, and language development, (4) socio-emotional development, and (5) social contexts of development. The purpose of this course is to help students understanding the stages of children's development as well as the strategies of children's care. |

| 教學內容 | 本課程主要目的在了解幼兒各個發展的概念到早期青少年的發展部份介紹.在這堂課中我們也將討論有關理論的演變過程以及胎兒發展、認知、語言、社會發展等研究領域. | Syllabus | The goal of this course is to provide a general introduction to the study of child development from conception to early adolescence. We will discuss historical perspectives as well as current theory and research in the areas of prenatal, perceptual, cognitive, language, and social development. |
