一.本課程包含描述性統計與推論性統計方法之介紹。內容強調統計方法在社會工作領域的應用，並且全程配合SPSS教學，以增加學員實際練習經驗。
二.本課程重點為各種推論性統計方法，包括直線迴歸，變異數分析，以及無母數統計等。 |
Objectives |
1.The contents of this course include descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The application of statistics in social work is emphasized with SPSS tutorial.
2.This course introduces the techniques of inferential statistics including ANOVA, regression and nonparametric tests. |

本課程以描述統計為主要內容，強調初等統計的基本概念，與較常使用的精簡各類資料的統計方法。授課重點包括資料的整理與摘要、集中與變異量數的涵義及其關係、常態分配的原理及應用、相關與迴歸的觀念等。藉由教材的循序結構，使學生能熟悉處理資料時的步驟，對於資料分析結果能正確解釋其意義，並培養科學態度與邏輯思考能力。 |
Syllabus |
This course is designed to cover the whole body of descriptive statistics. The statistical methods, including theoretical foundations and applications, used commonly in different types of data are the most emphasized. Principal topics, in order of presentation, include frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and variability, normal distributions and standard scores, correlation and regression. |
