課程目標 在有機化學的領域中,由於了解化合物的真正結構,才能使得今日在各方面的應用科學如此發達,例:藥物化學。所以,此門課的方向,便是教導學生如何利用現有的一些儀器所測得的圖譜,加以分析推測某化合物的真正結構。 Objectives The main purpose for this course is to teach the students how to identify organic compounds from the complementary information included mass, infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, and ultraviolet.
教材 1. Introduction to Spectroscopy, 4th edition (Pavia, Lampman, Kriz, and Vyvyan)。
2. Spectrometric Identification of Organic Compounds, 7th edition (Silverstein, Webster, and Kiemle)。

成績評量方式 作業15%、小考20%、兩次期中考40% (各占20%) ,與期末考25%。 Grading Homework 15%, quiz 20%, two midterm exams 40% (20% each), and final exam 25%.

教學內容 本課程將介紹主要幾種有機化合物的結構鑑定與光譜分析方法,其中包含:紅外線光譜 (IR)、質譜 (MS)、氫和碳核磁共振光譜 (HNMR 與 CNMR)、紫外光-可見光吸收光譜 (UV-vis),與元素分析 (EA)。 Syllabus This course will introduce the Spectroscopic methods for the structure identification and spetral assignments for Organic Compounds including infrared spectrometry (IR), mass spectroscopy (MS), proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance (HNMR and CNMR), ultraviolet-visible spectrometry (UV-vis), and elemental analysis (EA).
