課程目標 本課程旨在教授學生基礎變異數及迴歸分析之統計理論以及應用SPSS統計軟體解決並分析資料推論的問題。 Objectives This course aims to cover the essential topics of linear regression and ANOVA. By means of collecting data and analyzing with computer software, the students are trained to understand the state of the art of relevant statistical methods.

教學內容 此課程旨在使學生理解並運用統計的方法與分析技巧,以奠定後續應用統計課程之基礎。課程之重點在於延續工程統計(一)(二)之基礎數理訓練,強化學生使用推論統計分析工程與管理實務問題之能力。主要授課主題包括兩母體假設檢定、變異數分析、無母數統計、以及回歸分析。本課程透過密集且循序漸進之測驗及分組專題來加強學生之基礎統計能力,以因應日後修習進階統計應用課程之需求。 Syllabus The purpose of this course is to enable students with the capability of applying statistical methods in real-world problems. It also is one of the fundamental courses, along with Engineering Statistics I and II(IE2006), for advanced statistical training of IE students. Major topics focus on hypothesis testing of two populations, ANOVA, nonparametric statistic, and regression analysis. This course intends to improve students' statistical knowledge via intensive tests and field project.
