Objectives |
This two-semester course is required for all sophomores who are enrolled in the four-year day program. It is a general English course that aims to further enhance students’ communication competence and to strengthen their reading skills as well as their understanding in terms of the writing process. |

本課程針對非英語系大一生所設計。課程中將會配合所使用之教材做適當的生字和口語練習；口語、聽力，以及相關文法概念皆為課程重點。因應教材中的各類主題，相關生活詞彙將會作為額外之補充。出缺席以及課堂表現和參與度皆會列入成績之計算。 |
Syllabus |
This course is designed for non-English majors. There is a strong emphasis on speaking and listening throughout the course, and the practice activities in each lesson are provided frequently as well. Useful vocabulary and basic English grammar rules are also the key focuses of this class. Regular class attendance and participation in class activities will be included in the grades. |
