Objectives |
This course will cover methods of analyses for tunnels, design and constructions of tunnels in soft ground and rock conditions, site investigation and in situ tests, methods of construction of tunnels, instrumentation and in situ monitoring, case studies of tunnels in Taiwan. |

This course will cover the design and analyses of tunnels in soils and rocks and related subjects of tunneling, including site investigation, in situ tests, construction methods, monitoring, failure mechanisms, failure cases, design at portals, and difficulties for tunneling in Taiwan. |
