本課程旨在使學生習得演講辯論之組織、施行技巧。課程中學生可藉由自身經歷, 觀察與評論同儕講演在講師引導協助下修習各程技巧。講師以協助立場低度介入，並藉由口語引導消除學習過程中可能的緊張，以收學習之效。 |
Objectives |
The course is designed to acquaint the students with skills in organizing and delivering speech. Students will learn the skills by means of their own experiences, observing and criticizing peer presentations. The instructor will step aside as a facilitato. |

| 教學內容 |
教學內容將以主題式的方式進行演講及辯論，學生將先閱讀特定主題的文章，進而進行小組討論，再進而演講以及進行分組辯論。在課程中，將觀看幾場著名的演講，像是美國總統歐巴馬在芝加哥勝選之夜的演講"Yes, We Can!"。講演與辯論的技巧和策略在課程中也將一並教授與實踐。 |
Syllabus |
The object of this course is teaching skills and strategies for public speeches and group debates. Students will read topical articles in advance, and then have group discussion and have a speech to claim his/her opinions, and moreover, students will have group debates for "pro" and "con". During the period of the semester, students will watch several renowned world speeches, such as the President of United States Brack Obama's victory speech of campaign "Yes, We Can!" in Chicago night. The skills and strategies of speech and debate will be taught during the processes of the course as well. |
