The main topics include data modeling, structure query language, storeage structure, query processing, and transaction management. The students will realize the following database system basics after finishing this course: 1. the role of database and database applications in an organization; 2. data modeling using the entity-relationship models (E-R models); 3. developing database application; 4. understand the use of SQL |
