| 課程目標 |
本課程的目的在培養學生實際的翻譯技能。透過各種文體的實際翻譯練習，訓練學生以下技能：(一)、語言轉換的能力；(二) 語言對比的能力；(三)對比話語的能力；(四) 輔助翻譯工具的使用：字典、線上字典、百科全書、資料庫、平行語料庫。(五) 翻譯問題解決能力。 |
Objectives |
The goal of this course is to cultivate students’ practical translation skills. Through genre-based exercises, the following skills will be trained: (1) Transfer competence; (2) contrastive linguistic competence; (3) contrastive discourse competence; (4) documentation skill: use of dictionaries, online dictionaries, databases, parallel texts; (5) Translation problem-solving skills. |

Syllabus |
The instructor will start from introducing the translating career, discuss concrete problems students might have when translating, ask students to evaluate how well they handle languages and cultures, and finally explaining how to become an expert at translating. |
