1.To recognize the scope, category and theoretical foundation of nonprofit organizations.
2.To learn functional operation and the content & methods of management in nonprofit organizations.
3.To compare and analyze the nonprofit organizations in Taiwan and other countries.
4.To probe into the implications of social work that different issues of nonprofit organizations may cause. |

Syllabus |
It is the purpose of this course to examine the role of theory in the nonprofit sector, and to understand the ways in which it may contribute to the health and vitality of nonprofit organizations. A special effort in this course will be made to introduce students to the ways in which nonprofit and voluntary organizations seek to serve the society in Taiwan and other countries.
1. Introduction of the course and discussion
2. The introduction of the nonprofit organizations

4. The developmental characteristics of nonprofit organizations in Taiwan
5. The mission and strategy of the nonprofit organizations
