課程目標 社區再發展(或稱為社區總體營造)是目前台灣社區改造運動之主要方向,而民眾參與式規劃設計亦是現今台灣社區改造運動之主要工作模式;本課程即針對社區發展與民眾參與兩項相關之議題進行理論探討、經驗研究與實習操作。其目的在於讓學生: 1. 回顧台灣現今社區發展之困境 2. 思考台灣未來社區發展之方向 3. 認識社區非實質與實質環境之互動關係 4. 學習民眾參與規劃設計之理念與技能 Objectives Community redevelopment (or so call Integrated Community Development) is the main stream of current community reformation movement in Taiwan, and also, the public participatory planning design is evolving into the major methodology that have been widely deployed over recent reformation movements. This course is designed to explore the key issues, theories, experiences and field operations related to Community redevelopment and Public participatory planning design. The purpose of the course is meant to provide students the following : 1. Retrospection on the problems of current community development in Taiwan 2. exploring the possibility of future development of community in Taiwan 3. exploring the interaction between physical and non-physical environment within community 4. exploring the essential idea of public participatory planning design and field operation techniques

成績評量方式 *學生必須依課程 ,挑選一個社區(老師指定或自己居住社區)進行社造模擬
*平時成績:以學生親自挑選的社區營造成果及過程討論為依據
*期中成績:以上課的討論內容(社造理念與基本技能)及學生社造初步成果報告書(資料、照片)為依據【必要時依課程內容作測驗】
*期末成績:以報告書及簡報呈現【必要時依課程內容作測驗】
Grading *Student must follow the course progress, pick one community (appointed by the instructor or individual inhabited community) and carry out an imitation of Community Empowerment.
*Regular grade: based on the achievement of Community Empowerment and discussion process of a community selected by each student.
*Midterm grade: based on discussion contents in the course (The essence and basic skills of Community Empowerment ) and the achievement of each student’s preliminary community Empowerment paper ( reference, photos) (Exam would be required if necessary).
*Final Grade: Final paper and a PowerPoint presentation. (Exam would be required if necessary).

*The achievement of Community Empowerment carried out by Central Government.(Formosa Community Agenda 21)
*Imitation of basic skills in Community Empowerment ( community resource survey, community interview)
*Imitation of community topics diagnosis
*Experience sharing of Community Empowerment precedents( 1st phase-visit and interview communities or invite people to participate community courses)
※community visit ( temporary): 寶山社區、頂橋仔、金玲園社區…
*Government administration resource and how to get involved(Central and city/county government implementing sectors )
*Emphasis areas of Community Empowerment carried out by Central Government in 2006-2007 ( Taiwan Healthy Community -6 Star Plan)
*Healthy Community Empowerment (6 Star Plan-Medicare and Social Welfare perspective)
*Construction hiring and materials supply ( 6 Star Plan-Environment and Landscape perspective)
*Eco-Community Empowerment
*Imitation of how to write public planning proposals( from community perspective to make a proposal)
