課程目標 為了加強學生的口語及溝通技巧,學生應養成良好的學習態度及基本原理。
所有的課程都用英文授課。教授內容儘可能真實化(可用多媒體方式進行)。
反覆練習對該程度的學生很重要。
課程循序漸進每個單元大約上1-3週, 課程內容如下
1. 英語發音技巧(學期內持續練習並定期測試)
2. 進階文法與應用(動詞時態,連綴動詞)
3. 建立字彙及有關世界方面知識(進階)- 有關文化及旅遊等
4. 建立理解及相關知識(進階)- 用小說等題材來加強學生對英文的了解
Objectives Students should develop good study habits and learn fundamental elements in order to enhance their oral & communication skills.
All instructions are given in English. Teaching and learning materials should be made as authentic as possible (may be multi-media based). Drilling and repetition exercises are still necessary for students of this level. Lessons are progressive in nature and each topic usually lasts about 1-3 weeks according & including the following:
1.Pronunciation & speaking skills.
2.Grammar application
3.Vocabulary & knowledge about world building
4.Comprehension and knowledge building

Supplementary materials (the file - materials are to be distributed in class).

教學內容 以下的標準是著重於增強學生的溝通及口語能力
(1)發音及口說能力(整學期的練習及平時的核對確認)
1.單字句子對話(連音)
2.重音
3.語調
4.閱讀時的標點法
5.腔調
(2)文法運用(藉由作業或文章)
- 需要從最基本的結構開始練習
(例如: 動詞片語、連接表示用法)
- 實務運用
(3)字彙知識的建立
藉由文章的運用(會從簡單及有趣的題材開始;像是文化、旅行等)
(4)理解力的建立
額外的教材(像是英語小說閱讀) 可用來增強學生全方位的英語理解能力
Syllabus AFL students need to refer to the English version.



The following criteria will be stressed to enhance students' communication and oral skills:



1) Pronunciation & speaking skills.
(practices and regular checks throughout the semester)
i. words, sentences, conversation (linking of words)
ii. stress
iii. intonation
iv. reading punctuation
v. accent(s)



2)Grammar application (by tasks/topics)
- Should start to exercise from the very basic structures
(i.e., phrasal verbs, linking expressions…)
- Functional usage



3)Vocabulary & knowledge building
- by topics (should start from easier & more interesting ones
first, subjects to do with cultural, travel…etc.)



4)Comprehension and knowledge building
- extra materials (i.e., reading novels) can be assigned to
strengthen students’ overall understanding and comprehension in English.
