本課程目標在於使學生了解文學中的基本文類：詩、戲劇、小說、短篇故事、散文、及批評。學生需要留心每個文類的基本結構，且對於文學作品中的字彙與文法也必須了解。 |
Objectives |
The goal of the course, Introduction to Literature, is to familiarize students with basic genres such as poetry, drama (tragedy, comedy, history plays), novels, short stories, prose, and criticism. Students not only have to pay much attention to structures of each genre but also have to analyze the infrastructure of literary works, such as words, and grammars. |

Student are expected to attend the class regularly and punctually. Those who missed the class more than four times throughout the whole semester will get an "F" in grade automatically. 2. Students are required to write 2 Reading Response Journal entries weekly. The length of a RRJ is 150-300 words. 3. Students are required to turn in writing assignment on time; late turn-in is not accepted. 4. All writing assignments must be typed up with 12 font and double spacing. 5. Students are required to check spelling and grammar before handing in. |
