本課程目標在於提升學生對於Newsweek與Time 等國際級相關讀物的閱讀與翻譯能力與技巧，進而強化對於CNN、BBC, 與VOA等國際新聞廣播的聽力與同步翻譯能力。 |
Objectives |
This course is intended to upgrade students’ capability of understanding such magazines as Newsweek and Time and of enriching their vocabulary and translation techniques. In the long term, they will be equipped with an ability to listen to CNN, BBC, or VOA and to perform simultaneous interpretation. |

Syllabus |
The course is designed to increase students' ability to pick up a newspapaer and make sense of the news reported in it. Studetns will be able to read and discuss current issues with their peers. This course is also designed to help students improve their lilstening and speaking skills needed to understand broadcast news. |
