都市設計專業隨著時代與社會之脈動而變遷，形成許多不同的理論與觀點，尤其在現代主義之後，全面性反省檢討形成許多影響今日都市設計發展之重要觀點與理論。本課程期望藉由重要思想的介紹與討論，培養學生深入觀察都市現象的態度與知識。 |
Objectives |
The profession of urban design has changed by the changing of social and era. By criticizing the urbanization in Modernism, many theories and concepts burst and keep influencing contemporary urban design practices. This curriculum leads students to acquaint with and discuss the major thoughts and its cases, so as to advance students’ viewpoints. |

Grading |
This course will grade students on various topics according to the participations in the class disscussion, the reports of case study on topics,and two examinations. |
