課程目標 「幼兒教保政策專題研究」課程的主要目的,首先是在探討幼兒教育政策,其目標是要讓幼兒教育形成教育體制中之核心,藉以提升台灣地區整體幼兒教育的品質。其次,在幼教行政策略上,則要公私雙軌並行、厚實教育資源,教育行政部門一方面補助縣市政府開辦公立幼稚園,另方面則善用民間人力和資源,積極獎勵並輔導私人興辦幼托園所,期能建立優質可行之幼教體制。本課程的主要目的在於協助修習本課程的學生了解幼教政策與行政體系的運作模式,提昇其對於幼教政策與行政的理解,進而協助其將來應用於幼教行政工作系統知識的建構。 Objectives The course is aimed to discuss policy of early childhood education with the objective of making early childhood education the core of educational system, and improving the overall quality of early childhood education in Taiwan. Also, for administrative strategies of early childhood education, public and private sectors both should be considered. The government should increase educational budget and subsidize public early childhood education programs. At the same time, manpower and resources from private sectors should also be well managed. Private early childhood education programs should be encouraged and rewarded for providing high-quality education and care. The objectives of the course are:
1.To help students understand policy of early childhood education and operational models of administration.
2.To have a better understanding of policy and administration of early childhood education.
3.To apply their knowledge to administrative works in early childhood education in the future and re-construct their knowledge.

Also students will critique appropriate and inappropriate parts of every approach, and compare the similarities and differences. By reading the literature, students are expected to ruminate what is the most appropriate method in early childhood care and education.
