以演練都市設計實質操作程序，藉完成的計畫或設計案例為研究對象，探討設計規劃者的思考與手法，以瞭解都市設計的1.設計概念 2..設計程序、方法論 3.成案之分析及評估，以培養對於有關都市設計案的成效分析與評斷能力。 |
Objectives |
Practicing urban design process and case study explores the designers’ thinkings and techniques. The main objectives of the course include Introductions of: 1. design concepts 2.Process and Strategies 3.Analyses and assessments，cultivate the learning capacity of analysis and judgment related to urban design。 |

對於學習成果的檢測，本課程將分為三個項目進行評量：
1.課堂參與：佔總成績之10%。本項成績以出席狀況及課堂上的發問、討論狀況。

3.期中報告與期末報告：本項成績以報告大綱和報告內容為評分項目佔總成績之60%。 |

| 教學內容 |
本課程是「都市設計」的入門課程之一，如何在規劃設計各階段中，選擇對「自己」有實質幫助的參考案例，以培養都市設計的基本動作、觀念與敏感度；並藉由案例分析，來解決設計過程中的困難點，增加設計創作的廣度與深度。
如何從案例「分析」的動作，學習建立適合「自己」操作都市設計的流程與工作模式，以確保在交圖時限與設計品質的掌握。
教學主題單元可分為
1.「採樣」案例的決定：建立案例來源的管道與資料庫，找到對於自己幫助最大的「採樣案例」的數量及品質與適宜性。
2.「讀取」案例資訊的訓練：閱讀在「採樣案例」中的空間設計的邏輯架構、重點及關鍵。
3.「分析」案例的方法練習：分析的方向、步驟、項目與內容與學習繪製「分析圖」。
4.「歸納」案例的方法練習：整理「去蕪存菁」的說明與各分析圖間的資訊。
5.「分析」與「歸納」的應用練習：將整理「分析歸納」的概念轉化成可利用的設計想法及具體的圖面與模型 |

This course offers an introduction to kinds of urban design cases, and basic trainings of urban design process. The main topics of the course include: 1.making decisions of choosing appropriate cases for urban design
2.trainings for reading informations of chosen cases
3.Exercises for case analyses and assessments
4..Exercises for concluding the analyses and establishing the main design concepts
5. Applications of case study and making conceptual diagrams and models by analyses of cases |
