在中國，華人移民海外被視為棄民，到了海外，又飽受當地政府的歧視與欺壓，處境相當艱難。華人移民的歷史,是一篇篇血淚交織的奮鬥史．本課程的要旨，希望從移民史的角度觀察近兩百年華人移民的歷程與轉變，與以社會史的角度討論海外華人社會的發展，探討華人移民的過去、現在與未來。 |

何謂華人?華人從中國遷移到海外的過程與遭遇,華人在海外的發展,與華人在21世紀的展望,皆是本課程關注的焦點.本課程之教學內容在於與歷史對話，為達教學效果，將以專題方式進行，並輔以重要史籍導讀，以培養學生掌握史實之能力。 |
