| 課程目標 | 本課程是進修部四技大一學生的兩學期必修課程。此共同的英文課程旨在提升學生基本溝通能力，以幫助學生加強聽說讀寫各方面的英語能力。 | Objectives | This two-semester course is required for all freshmen who are enrolled in the four-year evening program. | 教學內容 | 本課程的教學內容選擇較貼近學生真實生活裏可能使用英語的情境或較有趣的主題引發學習動機。除了教科書外，教師亦自行設計能增進同學口說機會的講義及活動。課堂主要採用溝通式教學法，尤其利用小組分工完成一項活動(例如解決問題、訊息交換等)之教學設計以期自然循序提昇學生溝通能力。 Unit 0: Essential English Unit 1: How was your vacation? Syllabus | Topics related to learners' real-life situations or interesting themes are chosen for this course. In addition to the textbook, the instructor also designs handouts and activities which help enhance learners' speaking skill. Communicative approach is adopted in class. Collaboration through activities, such as problem-solving tasks, information gap, etc., will be emphasized in order to promote learners' communicative competence in a natural and steady manner.
