教學內容 | 本課程不僅藉影音多媒體教授英語,更希望藉其所富含的影音資訊帶領學生認識複雜抽象的西方文化。我們將透過英語歌曲、電影、電視影集、廣告等來觀察討論下列主題: I. Relationship A. Friendship B. Love C. Family 感情 (友情,愛戀 及 家庭) II. Stereotype 固定形象 III. Travel 旅行 教學法主要採用溝通式教學,課堂活動包括"小組討論","角色扮演","報告","腦力激盪","問題解決"等。情況允許時並採用對比教學法以幫助學生在面對不合實情的影音形象時能培養批判性的觀察能力及養成自我認同的意識。 |
Syllabus | This course is designed to encourage learners not only to learn English but to explore complex and abstract western culture by means of powerful multi-media. We will discuss the following issues revealed in authentic English songs, movies, TV series and commercials: I. Relationship A. Friendship B. Love C. Family II. Stereotype III. Travel A communicative approach is adopted. Classroom activities include 'discussion', 'role-play', 'report', 'brainstorming', 'problem-solving task', etc. A contrastive approach will be exploited whenever possible to help learners develop a critical view as well as an awareness of self-identity in the face of often problematic stereotypes or images. |
