現代企業營運管理的新思維會有下列的趨勢：(1)EMS 在企業管理的重要性已慢慢浮現。(2)已實施EMS的公司在效率、責任、及競爭力等層面均優於同業。(3)ISO的 EMS 標準提供公司一個積極的架構，讓公司更能掌控和管理公司內部的環境議題。所以本課程的教學目標如下：
1.瞭解 ISO 14001 - EMS 標準的每個要求事項。2.發展有效的環境政策、目標與標的。3.透過員工訓練，提昇對 ISO 14001 的認知。4.替ISO 14001系統設計簡單而有用的文件化系統。5.透過定期的稽核與量測，確保EMS的有效性與效能。5.整合EMS至公司的管理系統。 |
Objectives |
New Paradigm of Business in the modern enterprises includes: (1) Smarting companies are realizing the integral part that EMS play in business. (2) Companies that have implemented an EMS have become more efficient, responsive, and competitive. (3) ISO’s EMS standards provide a framework for proactively controlling and managing environmental impacts throughout any companies. Therefore, the goals of this course iclude:

國際環境管理系統標準(ISO14000系列)，涵蓋了「組織」與「產品」之環境管理或評估兩大部份。本課程將逐一介紹其內含與制定之目的。由於ISO14001與ISO14004兩份標準係環境管理系統之規範與指導綱要，與產業界息息相關，其內容包括環境政策、規劃、實施與運作、檢查與矯正措施、及管理階層審查，此內容符合PDCA之迴圈，是理境管理上很重要的工具之一。在進入此迴圈之前的先期評估亦為重要的一環，此課程將一併探討。其他的ISO 14000工具包括環境標誌、生命週期評估、環境稽核、環境績效評估、及環境成本會計等，是實施ISO 14001不可缺少的重要工具。 |
Syllabus |
The ISO 14000 standards promise to play an important role in promoting better environmental management worldwide. This course will guide to implementing an effective environmental management system (EMS) that conforms to the requirements of the ISO 14001 EMS specification standard. It also offers a detailed description of other standards in the ISO 14000 series. They include standards for environmental auditing, environmental performance evaluation, eco-labeling and life cycle management. |
