課程目標 文寫作課程(一)是藉由整合性,理解性的寫作訓練,以其幫助學生發展出良好閱讀與分析、評估文章的技巧。透過〝閱讀前〞和〝閱讀後〞的練習, 以標示出良好寫作的優點和特色,如寫作結構、修辭模式等,均為學生練習的重點。本課程的目標:熟悉不同的寫作風格、適度語言使用,、成熟的修辭技巧等,如描述、比較分類以及論述式寫作。 Objectives This is a successive and comprehensive stage of writing after students have been trained to create cohesive and comprehensible units of essay paragraphs. This course is intended to help student readers to develop skills in the reading and evaluation of analytic and descriptive texts, and other texts with different styles. Students will be exposed to experience diverse pre and post-reading exercises to highlight aspects of good writing, such as structure, rhetorical patterns and other features. Based on this skill, when students explore the rules and methods of essay-writing, they should be able to improve the effectiveness in presenting knowledge and viewpoints. This goal can be reached through the integration of language skills: reading, speaking, and writing and classroom activities such as discussion presentation, etc.

教學內容 本課程主要內容著重於透過完整的寫作練習幫忙學生發展英文寫作技巧。課堂活動、個人寫作練習以以線上同儕互動將是本課程的進行方式。藉由課堂的教師指導和小組討論活動,學生將建立寫作技巧的概念和學習如何發展並架構寫作內容。同時,學生亦需利用個人寫作練習和線上的同儕分享與建議來提昇個人寫作能力。另外,學生亦需參與課堂的發表以培養獨立學習和接受批判的學習態度同時提昇能力。期許學生,經過一個學期的課程與練習,能夠建立清楚的寫作技巧概念並且發展良好的寫作能力。 Syllabus This course is intended to help students develop English writing skills through a successive and comprehensive process of writing practice. In-class participation, individual writing and online teamwork will be the main focuses of the class. Through writing instruction and group discussion in class, students will build up the concept of writing skills and learn to organize and develop their writing. Meanwhile, students will be required to read articles written by classmates and provide their suggestions. In further, besides of lecture by instructor, the in-class presentation will also be provided by students to encourage independent learning. By working together with instructor and peers, students are expected to acquired writing skills and be able to improve writing ability well.
