本課程旨在協助學生了解何謂社會工作、社會工作的歷史、社會工作的內涵、社會工作人員所扮演的角色，期待透過這學期的學習，讓同學對社會工作的發展歷程、基本價值觀、本質、方法、技術有基本的瞭解，提高對社會工作相關課程的學習興趣，為未來四年的學習打下良好的基礎。 |
Objectives |
This course is to help students understand what is social work, history, basic concepts and ideas of social work, and the role of social workers.
Throughout the classes, students are expected to learn the basic understanding of development, basic value, characteristics, methods, and skills in social work. Furthermore, it is designed to inspire the interest to the related courses of social work, which is beneficial to the coming study in this field. |

Teaching contents of this course focus on the introduction to foundametal concepts of social work. Furthermore, its implications for Taiwan society will be discussed. Main topics of this course include:
