本課程內容以社會研究的基本認知作為引導的起步，焦點重心在於「社會變遷」和「社會問題」的理論與實務探討，並適時引介台灣的社會變遷過程、發展經驗、社會現象探討與社會問題分析，啟發關心台灣社會的人文襟懷。 |
Objectives |
The content of this curriculum will take the guidance start from the basic cognition of the social research. It both focuses on the theory and the practice of “social change” and “social problem”. Meanwhile, for the purpose of inspiring the humanistic mind to the students, the issues of process, development experience, phenomenon discussion and problems analysis of social changes in today’s Taiwan will be addressed. |

學期考試及學期研究報告一篇各佔百分之五十，考試方式及寫作要求於開學後與修課同學議定；
課堂出席率及互動表現作為成績加權，佔百分之二十。 |
Grading |
Grading is based on the midterm exam (30%), the final (30%), a research paper and interaction in class( include attendance) (40%). |

本課程教學之目的在透過理論與實務介紹，讓修課學生對台灣社會發展、變遷和社會問題建立基礎認知，從而培養觀察研究能力，啟發關心台灣社會的人文襟懷，擴大對社會及生活環境探究視野。因此教學內容以社會學及社會研究的基本認知作為引導的起步，焦點重心在於「社會變遷」和「社會問題」的理論與實務探討，並適時引介台灣的社會變遷過程、發展經驗、社會現象探討與社會問題分析，適當時機並安排戶外教學輔導學生進行社會觀察。 |
Syllabus |
In this course, student will have a greater understanding of Taiwan social development, social change and social problem of Taiwan society. Student also will have great awareness of self, society and culture as socially constructed realities. The instructor will help you learn to read and understand sophisticated social science with greater confidence and comprehension. We also will help you begin to formulate a set of values about social science as social scientists practice it on both theoretical and applied levels. Student may be have a file trip to real social observation to get more experience. |
