課程目標 |
本課程探討液晶之形成原理及其在高科技之應用,其內容包括從液晶之熱力學探討液晶形成之原理,低分子量液晶在顯示器(STN-LCD, TFT-LCD)之應用,液晶配向膜,彩色濾光片之原理及應用,鐵電式液晶在光電之用途。最後研究主鏈和側鏈型的液晶高分子,如層列型、膽固醇型,這些材料在高科技及非線性光學上之發展。 |
Objectives |
The course is to elucidate the physical and chemical properties of liquid crystal material. It includes application of liquid crystal as display devices, color filter, STN-LCD, TFT-LCD, and the application of ferroelectric liquid crystals. Finally the potential application of the liquid crystal in nonlinear optics and high-tech industries will be discussed. |
