For the manufacturing functions, it emphases four modern manufacturing areas: manufacturing processes, equipment/control. systems, and design for manufacturing, and it exposes you to integration of engineering and management disciplines for determining manufacturing rate, cost, quality and flexibility. Topics include process physics, equipment design and automation/control, quality, design for manufacturing, industrial management, and systems design and operation. | Syllabus | The focus of this course is integration of the marketing, design, and manufacturing functions of the firm in creating a new product.
