本課程在於使同學熟悉同步翻譯中一些相關的技巧，比如說訊息預測、增刪、更正等等。同學也必須熟悉相關主題的英文能力，諸如貿易、科技、政府措施、與法律。 |
Objectives |
The course is to make students familiar with the skills of simultaneous interpretation, such as information prediction, addition and elimination, correction, and so on. Topics such as trade, technology, government and law should be added in students’ training. |

在這堂口譯課程中，最主要的目標是介紹給同學翻譯的技巧和方法以期能讓同學在翻譯部分翻譯的更好。而這些課程裡包含了理論的介紹，在初步介紹後能讓同學更了解多種不同形式的翻譯情況，在整學期的學習成果後，同學能具備在能力與信心在翻譯工作上。 |
Syllabus |
The course aims to introduce you to the skills and techniques which you need to translate well. Includes theory in understanding and interpreting the printed page plus practice in presentation of the various literary forms. By the end of the course you should have a basic level of competence which will enable you to take on translation work with confidence. |
