以正確方式作文,學習寫作正確的句子、邏輯思考、感情與句型及句型變化之配合、學習句子之後, 學習段落結構。最後學習作文步驟。 |
Objectives |
Correctly writing a good composition is the goal. First of all, the students are required to write correct sentences. Then they should know how to write various sentence types to convey their logical thoughts and feelings. After sentences, they are required to write excellent paragraphs. Finally, they learn the steps to write an excellent composition. |

Grades Grades will be based on scores for attendance, homework and the final. Scores will be summed and a percentage taken. This will be adjusted by up to ten points for attendance. If you miss more than six classes, or fail to perform more than six homework or in-class assignments, you will fail. Because much analysis and training will take place in class, attendance is crucial. Students who miss class will fail. |

Objective The purpose of this class is to teach students to analyze and create arguments in essay form. Class attendence is absolutely crucial.
CLASS CYCLE Each week will consist of (1) analysis of an argumentative essay/editorial/article and (2) discussion and (3) creation of a counterargument. Students will also be taught critical thinking skills including logical reasoning. The textbook will be used as a resource, not as a class framework. Many outside articles will be used. |
