學生將需花費大量的時間去閱讀。課程重點強調理解能力與字彙建構，皆賴於學生專心注意於組織架構及風格。大致上每週以課本一個章節為教學進度。另將使用補充教材。學生必須閱讀全長的小說並於期末時提交報告，製作報告期間需與老師討論內容進度。 |
Syllabus |
Approach: Students will spend a great deal of time reading. Emphasis will be on comprehension and vocabulary building, with some attention paid to structure and style. Most weeks we will cover 1 chapter in the textbook. Supplemental handouts will also be used. Exams will consist of reading comprehension exercises. Students will also be required to read a full-length novel and submit a report at the end of the semester (and meet with the instructor to discuss their progress). |
