日間部:本課程是日間部四技大二學生及二技學生的必修課程。此共同英文課程旨在進一步提升學生之溝通能力，並加強其閱讀能力及寫作概念。
進修部:本課程是進修部四技大二學生的一學期必修課程。此課程旨在進一步強化學生之英語溝通能力。同時，學生也能學到「如何有效的學習英文」，為日後之終身學習，奠基紮根。 |
Objectives |
Day program: This course is required for all sophomores who are enrolled in the four-year day program and students who are enrolled in the two-year day program. It is a general English course that aims to further enhance students’ communication competence and to strengthen their reading skills as well as their understanding in terms of the writing process.
Evening program: This one-semester course is required for all sophomore students who are enrolled in the four-year evening program. The purpose of this course is to further enhance their communication competence. The students will also learn “how to learn English effectively,” which will become a solid foundation for their life-long learning. |

一, 課程說明(Course Description)
This course is designed to help students for advanced levels develop their English communication skills, particularly speaking and listening ability. It aims to increase students’ confidence in using idiomatic English in a wide range of social situations, and train students to become active participants in the global community.
在會話中使用母語的語法，是ESL學生在學習英語過程中最常見的問題；本課程的重點在於輔助學員能戒除「中語西用」語言習慣。在進階層次的外語學習中，最常見的困擾已不是字彙、文法的不足，而是無法掌握外國語言語固有的慣用模式。透過本課程的引導，學員可加強鍛鍊使用口語英文時，能以英語的思考模式來思考，輕鬆建立標準的語彙搭配架構，自然克服思想、意見表達的障礙。 |
