本課程以西方人文思潮為主, 探討與設計領域相關的議題與文獻. 本課程將西方人文思潮分為四大部分; 一為文藝復興與啟蒙運動; 二為十九世紀工業革命與現代主義思潮; 三為後現代主義; 四為當代文化研究的相關議題. 目的在透過文獻閱讀與課堂的討論, 擴大同學對於人文層面的關心, 思考設計與社會的關係. |
Syllabus |
This course aims to examine the relationship between society and design. It is divided into four sections during the semester, namely the humanist tradition in the West before 19th Century; Modernism; Post-Modernism and Cultural Studies.
This course is a survey course for first year graduate students. The survey of Western thoughts throughout the ages is to prepare design graduates a better understanding of design and society. |
