| 課程目標 | 本課程在導引學生,瞭解並學習另一種非微軟的作業系統—UNIX。本課程首先介紹UNIX系統的導論，接著學習UNIX通用語法與shell script，最後再進一步瞭解Linux環境下的工具及如何運用網路資源，本課程的目標在使學生能有UNIX的操作概念及熟悉Linux的資源運用，期以未來順利接續高年級之UNIX網路管理相關課程。 | Objectives | The course's objective is to introduce a non-microsoft operating system, i.e., UNIX. This course will focus on UNIX command, shell srcipt, utilities and the environment. For on-lining practicing, the newest version of Linux distribution like Mandriva Linux is used for homework and projects. |

| 教學內容 | 本課程在導引學生,瞭解並學習另一種非微軟的作業系統—Unix，基於學生必須於電腦室操作的因素，本課程將以具有同樣UNIX核心的PC版本Mandrake Linux最新版為操作平台。本課程首先將介紹UNIX系統的導論，接著學習Unix通用語法，最後再進一步瞭解Linux環境下的工具及如何運用網路資源，本課程的目標在使學生能有Unix的基本概念及熟悉Linux的資源運用，期以未來順利接續高年級之Unix網路管理相關課程。 | Syllabus | The course objective is to introduce a non-microsoft operating system, i.e., Unix. This course will be conducted in a PC lab and Mandrake Linux with newest version is used for on-line practicing. This course will focus on Unix command, shell srcipt, and utilities. Term project is required for meeting the requirement of this course. |
