學生修完此門課程，可以瞭解新聞英文的詞彙與片語及特殊語法，及促進學生對報刊討論主題的興趣，以增進新聞英文閱讀能力並提昇學生ICRT或CNN等新聞英文聽力。 |
Objectives |
The main goal of this course is to enlighten students’ interests in News English, cultivating them to be able to read, comprehend, and articulate current critical issues in the news. The students will have a better understanding of the format, caption rendition and news sources, in the news. |

Syllabus |
The course is designed to increase students' ability to pick up a newspapaer and make sense of the news reported in it. Studetns will be able to read and discuss current issues with their peers. This course is also designed to help students improve their lilstening and speaking skills needed to understand broadcast news. |
