此課程的目的主要在於幫助學生使用不同的策略，來發展基本的英語聽講能力。學生需要去做預測、推論、寫大綱、做筆記，並由語音的線索中找出重要的訊息。學生將運用這些策略來參與各種聽講練習與討論。 |
Objectives |
This course is designed to develop students" general listening comprehension and oral skills through a variety of strategies. Students will be asked to make predictions, draw inferences, outline, take notes, and listen for phonological clues that signal important information. Students will apply these strategies to a great variety of recorded English and discussions. |

Syllabus |
The pre-intermediate level of student English proficiency is expected. The course is designed to develop students' basic listening comprehension and speaking ability from what they have at high school to intermediate level through variety of activities.
The contents are ranging from daily conversation to current affairs to help students practicing listening skill and oral discussion throught the text or web news.
Note taking skill will be emphasised at the end of semester with students' more skillful listening comprehesion. |
