課程目標：本課程將以女性主義的觀點，沿用電影藝術的一般性分析（意象、聲音、剪接、攝影、場景調度、敘事方法、和演技），探討好萊塢電影中的女性地位及潛在的女性意識覺醒。
課程內容：採用文化研究的閱讀方式，分別以西部片、警匪片、音樂片、黑色電影、通俗劇、家庭情境喜劇、恐怖片、和科幻片，從事剖析好萊塢電影的性別認同及意識形態。 |

Course Objective: With the analytic approach to a film’s image, sound, editing, cinematography, mise-en-scene, narrative, and acting, this class will provide a feminist perspective on Hollywood classics, in terms of woman’s place and the simmering female consciousness-raising.
Course Description: Taking a cultural-defined reading of the conservative ideology in Hollywood cinematic representation, the course will focus on the major transformation of gender identity in such genre films as the western, gangster, musical, film noir, melodrama, family sitcom, horror, and science fiction films. |
