Objectives |
Types of rocks, properties of intact rock, discontinuities, and rock mass will be covered in the course. Application of stereonet on weak planes and slope stability, stresses and distribution in rock, and foundations in/on rock masses will be also covered. |

Syllabus |
This course will teach to understand intact rock and rock mass, engineering properties of rock and joints, rock mass classification, stress and distribution inside the rock, rock slope stability analysis, rock foundation, underground construction in rock, and related cases in rock masses. |
