Objectives |
This course is aimed at introducing to students basic theories and techniques in language instruction, and through repeated practices on different instructional concepts, helping students possess the competence to apply the theories of language instruction to practical situations. Topics to be covered include of: Contexts of Teaching; Teaching Listening; Teaching Speaking; Teaching Reading; Teaching Writing and etc. |

Syllabus |
The course will provide students an overview of current theoretical issues in language teaching and learning and offer students essential ground work for the full understanding of teaching approches and methodology. A variety of topics and issues, including first and second language acquisition, learner factors and learning process, and teaching methods, will be further investigated and discussed. |
