本課程旨於探討語言測驗之特性與提供學生開發與使用語言測驗之概念。學生將於此課程中認識了解各種語言技能測驗之特質及其應用，並學習開發較具效度、信度且適用於課堂教學之語言試題。 |
Objectives |
The course aims to explore unique characteristics of language tests and to provide students with conceptual foundations in developing and using language tests. In this course, students are expected to practice different processes of constructing valid, practical, and reliable language tests, to investigate limitations and advantages of various formats available for testing different language skills, and eventually to construct valid and reliable test items for use in the language classrooms. |

This course will introduce general principles and key issues in language testing and help the students familiarize themselves with techniques in constructing language tests to assess different aspects of English language skills. The class will be based primarily on the instructor's lectures with certain in-class discussion. |
