Course objectives : students will be able to
*define economics;
*understand the problems it seeks to understand and solve;
*understand basic economic concepts such as supply, demand, elasticity, markets, efficiency, public goods,
externalities, monopoly, world trade

Second Semester: MACROECONOMICS
Course objectives : students will be able to
*define economics;
*understand the problems it seeks to understand and solve;
*understand basic economic concepts such as supply, demand, elasticity, markets, efficiency, public
goods, externalities, monopoly, world trade

Course Structure: Each week there will be a lecture followed by a short quiz or test. There will be no midterm.


Requirements: Class attendence is mandatory. If you do not come to class, you may fail. Participation counts toward your final grade; the more you participate, the higher your grade.

Grading: Final grades will consist of the weekly quizzes and the final. These will summed to produce a
percentage, which will be adjusted for attendance and participation.
