此課程以托福聽力測驗練習為中心，並培養學生的基本和中階的聽力能力。此外，其他的聽力教材如電影、雜誌、電視新聞及與連音相關的教材入會使用於課堂中。口語練習及單字背誦亦搭配於課程中。 |

This course is centered on the listening practices of Toefl test and attempt to develop students' basic and intermediate listening abilities. Moreover, other listening materials will be used in class including movies, magazines, TV news and other textbook |

Teaching Materials |
The interactive approach (skill)is used in the classroom.The teacher helps students build their listening strategies. The tasks include active listening, asking relevant questions, and checking for comprehension. Students are trained to enhance their listening comprehension through a variety of listening activities that include authentic as well as scripted material. |

This course aims to enhance students' listening skills,which is the foundation skill for all language development.The course also aims at encouraging students to develop their listening strategies for taking control of their own learning and for enhancing listening comprehension. Considerable emphasis is placed on the teaching and the training of listening skills. |
