Objectives |
This course comprises introduction of character and process of various common metal alloys used in products. The course will provide fundamental knowledge to students with design background in selecting proper metal in developing metal products. |

Syllabus |
Modern metal materials and manufacturing technologies will
be introduced. Light metal like aluminum and magnesium
alloy will be focused in this course. Manufacturing techniques
commonly used will also be addressed. Commerical CAE softwares
will be used to evaluate the design and manufacturing factors
related to the materials. |
