Objectives |
The purpose of this course is to introduce the primary issues in the field of early childhood care and education (ECCE) to the new learners in this field. The content will include the history, philosophy, methods, environment, curriculum, assessment and evaluation of ECCE, as well as knowledge of child development, special education, and ethics in ECCE. |

Syllabus |
On completion of this course, the students will be able to:
- understand physical, psychological, and educational needs of young childhood.
- identify the different philosophical and pedagogical views that impact early childhood education.
- identify developmentally appropriate materials, activities, and environments.
- emphasize the role of play in the total development of children.
- promote parent involvement in the growth and education of the young children. |
